Popularly known as the Puente Romano, there is unfortunately nothing Roman about the current bridge, despite the fact that it may have been built on the site of an original bridge in Roman times. The Puente Romano is of Arabic origin, but had several repairs due to the destruction caused by the flooding from the river.
